Monochrome, clean, linear and text based, Cuckoo is the first solo show by artist Caitlin Griffiths. Describing her thought process as “the cuckoo approach to creativity,” Griffiths muscles in on established artists territories and deliberately steals them. By engaging with other people's experiences Griffiths injects herself into them concluding with an ‘other’. She creates something fictional and exciting for her audience in the form of precious books, take away multiples and a business card exchange; this make believe made real, a mix of an authoritative representation with an attitude of ‘it’s yours too, take it.’
