IPS is a basic gallery cube that allows the works on display the versatility to be interpreted and interacted with. This has allowed Contained Happening to appear as it does, isolated and cornered off by a partial barrier of string. By the string acting as an unobtrusive, yet noticeable boundary, the viewer becomes aware of their place within the space, as well as the arts. The viewer has to physically enter the arts immediate environment if they want to interact with it. This is not, however, necessary; each piece can still be seen from across the gallery. It is up to them how far they chose to interact with the exhibition placing their trust in the artists, curator and gallery.
